Winning Ways

Super Series 2 – Windsor

Took my his first British Triathlon Title and at the same time the first Super Series win of my career.

After a fast 1500m wetsuit swim in the Thames, complete with raging current, exited the water with a pack of 6 men and after a quick transition was 3rd going on to the bike.

The race came together after 20km of riding and on to the run I quickly opened up a lead and maintained it for the duration.

Super Series 1 – Blenheim

Took second at the first race of the British Super Series at Blenheim – a quality field turned out at Blenheim Palace, to take on a fast and furious Sprint distance triathlon.

Had a brilliant swim, exiting the water with the lead group, and after taking my wetsuit off quicker than most, started the bike leg in second position. A large group of 20 came together on the bike so position in to T2 was critical. Former World U/23 Champion Matt Sharpe showed his talent straight away and opened up a lead on the run which he held to the finish. I ran strongly and was over a minute clear of the next athlete and secured second on the podium.
